Reconciling Science With Theism: A Novel Idea That Replaces Darwin's Theory of Evolution

The Christian Father God of the Bible created a negentropic heaven and earth, including the Garden of Eden, as a home for His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and His bride, who would rule and reign over all His creation forever. In this negentropic Paradise, a literal historical Adam and Eve were created in the Image of God who eventually but unnecessarily disobeyed God, introducing entropy into the Garden and all creation. Then, in the fullness of time, Jesus Christ's sacrificial death on the Cross redeemed all creation, such that all forms of life descending from Eden will be fully regenerated in the negentropic New Heaven and Earth. Physical restoration from injury in our current entropic world is a metaphor for the Holy Spirit's regeneration of all things to come, in the New Creation. This proposal intertwines theological concepts with scientific terms, using "negentropy – negative entropy" to describe the original state of creation and "entropy" to depict creation after the Fall of Man. Linking entropy with sin and negentropy with redemption presents a distinctive synthesis of religion and science. Though not usually discussed in these terms, these themes resonate with theological constructs in the dialogue between science and religion. The idea of a fallen creation being restored is central to Christian eschatology, and integrating the scientific concepts of entropy and negentropy introduces a novel perspective.
