If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psalms 11:3).
This verse can be read as though the psalmist is wringing his hands and lamenting the sorry state of things… or it can be the words of one who desires to rally the people of God to act on His behalf. Before we can address a culture that needs to be reoriented, the church needs to take a closer look at the foundation we are called to build upon. Have we addressed any erosion and taken steps to obey His commands, in such a way, that we are an accurate reflection of Who He is?
There is a cry from the youth of our culture. Many are wandering; moving away from traditional values; announcing that they do not prefer who they are. They intend to create for themselves a new identity different from their own.
They are saying: “I don’t know who I am.”
