Savory Secrets: Small Town Country Girl Recipes

My name is Michelle R. Jones, a small-town country girl, who loves the Lord. I was born and raised in St. Gabriel, LA. I am the second of eight children. I currently hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Religious Studies. I’m currently pursuing A master’s in theology. I am the owner and proprietor of M’s A Catering LLC, which was founded in 2019. My passion for food began at the age of nine when I prepared my first meal. I enjoy cooking and baking, as well as witnessing others come together to enjoy the dishes I have prepared. Over the past 30 years, I have cooked and prepared meals for thousands of individuals at various events, including baby showers, weddings, business meetings, municipal and many important staff meetings. It has been my lifelong dream to become an author, but I never pursued it until March 2025, when I was inspired by God during a nap. His words were clear: “Start writing your recipes”. I replied, “I hear you Lord”, and I have not put my pen down since. This recipe book features some of my favorite recipes, which I am excited to share with the world. This has been one of my best experiences in life. I tell all my customers; people eat with their eyes. If it looks good most likely people will try it. I pray that every recipe that you attempt to prepare you do it with love and patience. This is my first publication, but it will certainly not be my last. My favorite scripture I read every single day is, Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.”
