This story follows the paths that the eldest, more modest daughter and the more free-spirited middle daughter take. They may be from the same family, but oh, how different their journeys will become... Jane Austen was an English novelist who was actively writing from 1787-1817. She was well famed for her commentary and novels surrounding gender inequality within the 18-19th century elite/gentry class, in particular. Sense and Sensibility, published in 1811, was written 15 years before its publish date. Originally posted anonymously under the pseudonym ‘By A Lady’, likely through fear of how the book would be received, the book was a success, selling out its first 750 copies. It continues to be read and enjoyed throughout the world, over 200 years later!
