These are the personal memoirs of Francis Joseph Callahan Jr. who led a charmed life. Born in Lima Ohio in 1923, Callahan graduated from the US Naval Academy, served as a submariner on the USS Grouper, USS Volador, USS Sterlet, and USSK-1. After graduating from MIT he joined Admiral Rickover's staff and had a role in the development of nuclear submarines. In 1958 he resigned from the Navy and applied his skills and knowledge to a corporate career with Swagelok Corporation.
