This book is about a truely unique story where black banks were stolen in Texas. Most people think that black wallstreet was the only way money was taken out of the black community. Documents were taken, and bank shares were stolen. When God moved me back to Texas, I had no idea it would present me with my greatest life’s mission. It involved me meeting and marrying a man, whose aunt, along with many others, had suffered a horrible crime against them that had been hidden because of their race. This story begins after I heard his Aunt Birdie share with me about her life. She informed me that she was rich. “However,” she said, “If I try to get my money, I will be killed.” It was this statement that led me to not only research the matter, but take on the fifight for an injustice to be made right. Within six months, Aunt Birdie died. Aunt Birdie’s death resulted in my inheritance of her land, mineral rights, and memorabilia. While all of these things were great, they do not compare to the value of the stocks she left me. The acquisition of the stocks has taken me more than fifive decades to recover, and I’m still not done. It’s arguably one of the most challenging pursuits I have experienced in my life. I am motivated to push forward because the steps I am taking will help me to right a horrible and illegal wrong that happened to a group of Black bank owners close to a century ago—an undercover theft that is literally worth billions of dollars.
