Small Dog, Big Heart

Casey, a King Charles Spaniel, moved into The Huntington at Nashua, A Life Care Community in Nashua, New Hampshire with his owner, Beverly Volicer (Mom). He was invited to submit an article about life in his new home for News &Views, a monthly newspaper published by residents, and Mom agreed to be his ghost writer. The response was so enthusiastic that he went on to write thirty articles, some about life at The Huntington and others about excursions he and Mom made to visit family and friends. The stories represent a view of life as seen by a small dog, from the ground up, and his interpretations and misunderstandings of what the people around him are doing. Throughout the book, Casey exhibits his view of the humor, sorrows, and joys of life.
