Souls and the Afterlife: Perspectives of a Physicist

Richard Boyd, an astrophysicist and self-proclaimed skeptic, has done an investigation of the soul world and the afterlife, imposing strict scientific criteria for what would pass as acceptable information. Reincarnation data were found in many cases to meet this standard, documenting the existence of an afterlife and the existence of souls. Out of body experiences, especially near death experiences, also were found to provide valuable information. Past-life and between-life regressions, while more difficult to fact check, did confirm the conclusions of the first two sets of studies. Venturing further into the soul world via mediums then provided additional information about soul world activities and of their relationships to and with human beings. While these information bits were verifiable only by consistency between reports from souls and the plausibility of their stories, they did provide additional information about the soul world over that obtained from the reincarnation, out of body experience, and past life regression data. Finally, some rather surprising suggestions about souls and the physical world were also obtained from these studies.
