Harley Malone is many things; an innkeeper, a restorer of old homes, and completely broke. In a last-ditch effort to bring publicity to her bed and breakfast, Harley reluctantly welcomes a three-ring circus of paranormal investigators into her sanctuary. But when the unfairly handsome researcher on the team accuses her of faking ghosts to drum up customers, she’s ready to pull the plug. Malcolm’s thrown when the scammer is a gorgeous woman with a wicked sense of humor. As he investigates a town obsessed with autumn, unsolved mysteries, and strange residents, Malcolm starts to wonder if Harley is the only normal thing around him. But when Harley starts getting threats, Malcolm’s skepticism is forced to take a backseat. If Harley can deal with him for one month, her dream of owning a bed and breakfast might survive. But as the strange events surrounding her inn get more dangerous, her dreams aren’t the only thing that might not survive.
