This book is designed based on the author’s experience through the process of attaining an orthopedic surgery residency. It includes basics such as writing orthopedic progress notes, being able to read, interpret, and present radiographs, as well as pure knowledge of common injuries, their classification systems, and treatment options. Additionally, several questions encountered by medical students and interns are covered, in order to provide a basis on which to start your orthopedic reading. This book is intended to supplement, not replace any orthopedic texts, and is targeted for 4th year medical students who have a passion for the field and are looking for a smooth transition into a favorable rotation experience. The goal is to ensure an initial effective step toward success in attaining a residency and above all, learning orthopedics.
