Description
Syrup season is a time of togetherness. Deep in the woods outside the village of Hunter, among the towering maples of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula the locals have an old tradition of coming together when the sap runs. ‘Sugar Shack Time’ is a time of gathering. Time slows. The old and the young sit back in discarded pinch-bottom chairs inside makeshift sheds, and elaborate ramshackle sugar houses, and tell slow stories about old times. Come along on a modern Canterbury Tales journey to the Ray's Sugar Shack, just outside the village of Hunter. All your friends are there! Ben, Val, Dale, Jake, Father Bill, Jen, and many more Hunter denizens you've only met in passing and some you have never met before. Pull up a split bottom chair, smell the sap on the boil, see the sweet steam rise, and listen to the endless stories in the voices of your friends from Hunter, Michigan.
