Description
At the Hummingbird Animal Shelter, Mrs. Cosy and her co-workers find homes for stray animals. But their latest newcomer looks like big trouble. Who will adopt a cat that howls, hides under couches, climbs drapes, and hangs from screen doors? At least there are no end of names to choose from—Cantankerous, Persnickity, No-Good, Too Wild, Too Lazy, or Too Loud. But all is not lost. That stripy little cat isn't interested in the others; he grabs onto Mrs. Cosy's socks and won't let go. And when she takes him home, the little cat shadows her every move. But what name will Mrs. Cosy choose for her new pet? Plucky? Trusty? As hard to shake as gluey paper? Constant as the sea? A comfort sure and true? In the end, there's only one name that fits that stripy cat, and it's a name that's sure to stick.
