In the early 1900s, unexpected attention came to a quiet village nestled in the scenic farmland in central Wisconsin. It had originally been named Daniel's Mill because of the grist and lumber mills on location. Later, the female residents thought it better to use the name Aurora which means "a new beginning". When they discovered that other nearby communities had already taken that name, they settled on calling their village Auroraville, which would mean "the place of new beginnings". This choice became prophetic as hundreds of people were born again of the water and the Spirit along a seemingly insignificant country road. That road would wind around to other parts of Wisconsin and connect with roads from Iran and Russia, going on to Germany and back again to Wisconsin. The intriguing take of how it happened could have been scripted only by God. This uplifting true story traces the humble beginnings of an extraordinary revival that continues to bring forth fruit in our millennium.
