Cross hatching is a technique in drawing in which parallel lines are drawn and crossed over by another set of parallel lines creating a sense of depth. In a similar manner this book hopes to explain the crossing over into young adulthood and the weight of that change. The Crossing Hatch is a personal Chronology of early adulthood from ages 19-24. Through a lens of tenderness and self exploration, this collection of poems hopes to connect with those going through a similar transitional period in life. Ultimately soft and hard through verse and always playful.
