Part one of this two-part story, Innocent Basketball Dreams, follows a young man’s aspirations to play basketball after seeing Michael Jordan, of the Chicago Bulls, hit the magical shot in April of 1989 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. A life changing basketball journey starts where lessons are learned that propel the author into the adult world. Though the story takes place in the de-industrialized City of Buffalo, New York and the surrounding areas, it applies to all walks of life, the rest of the country and even the world.
