Description
The town of Rafter Crossing was a quiet ranching community, but has turned into a booming mining town. Rafter Crossing has been simmering for some time when Mike Shevlin rode in. The newfound wealth has made the community anything but peaceful. The cattlemen want the mines shut down, it's poisoning the range water. The miners are stealing the high-grade ore that rightfully belongs to Laine Tennison. Shevlin's mission is to get Laine's ore back. Eli Patterson, a good man, was killed in a gunfight. At least that's the rumor that has been circulating around town. As Shevlin tries to unravel the mystery of Patterson's death, he's led deeper and deeper into a conspiracy that controls not only the fate of Rafter Crossing, but the heart of a beautiful, tormented, young woman.
