This biography was written as a legacy in memory of my mother and as a personal act of completion—allowing me to face and finally lay to rest the grief I carried for so many years. It recounts events that occurred long ago within my own family history and involves individuals who are, for the most part, no longer alive. The intention of this work is not to harm, accuse, or expose, but to preserve truth with dignity and to give meaning to experiences that shaped generations in silence. The text refers to an act committed by Coach Édouard against Marguerite—an act of sexual violence committed against a minor. This event is treated with restraint, seriousness, and respect. It is neither described graphically nor used for shock or provocation. Rather, it is acknowledged as an abuse of authority and trust, included to illuminate the emotional, psychological, and moral consequences that followed. By naming what happened, this book seeks neither revenge nor judgment, but understanding and closure. It honors the lived experience of the victim and the lasting impact of unspoken trauma, while maintaining compassion and discretion toward those connected to the past. Writing this story is an act of remembrance, healing, and reconciliation—an effort to transform inherited pain into testimony and grief into peace. I am not harming anyone by telling the truth in this way, but giving grief a place to rest. I am Jacqueline Viciere Théophile—an Haitian / American mother of five, guided not by religion or politics, but by principle. I have studied law, metaphysics, and criminal justice, and I stand firmly for what is right, advocating for the vulnerable who too often endure injustice. It is my deepest hope that life grants opportunity and grace to those who need it most.
