Muslim Alinizi was born in Iraq before the war broke out in two thousand and one. His father, a radical Muslim man, who was also very high up in the Iraqi military, decided to betray Saddam. When the Iraqis learn of his betrayal, the family has to flee the country under threat of death. After coming to America, Muslims mother converts to Christianity, and this tears the already fractured family apart. When the conflicts in the Middle East break out, Muslim and his father become involved in the ongoing violence. Eventually Muslim decides that he is going to give his life for God in battle, but then he learns about a God who has already given his life for him.
