What Vindin wanted most in life was friends, but his monstrous appearance was so terrifying he needed a magical disguise to walk among humankind. Thrilled with the prospect of making a friend, Vindin vows to help Sir Beronius find a cure for his affliction and they set off to find the one who cursed him, believing that killing him would break the spell. Along the way, they meet a roguish prince named Conlin, and a prodigal wizard named Avidrea, and together they journey to the faraway land of Pyrones seeking a cure for the paladin’s curse.
