The Scales of Injustice: The Raymond Lumsden Story

Raymond's story is akin to a captivating blockbuster, with a charismatic man, intense relationships, a troubled past, and revenge. In March 2015, a tumultuous argument between Raymond and his live-in girlfriend led to the demise of their already drama-filled relationship. Ignoring previous warnings proved costly, as Raymond found himself arrested. Unfortunately for him, she was a woman who knew how to manipulate the legal system, exploiting biases through false accusations of sexual or physical assault. The old adage states, "In the he said, she said, somewhere in the middle lies the truth." While there are laws, rules, and various legal professionals who seek the truth fairly, what happens when certain players constantly move the goalposts to ensure a win? Raymond's case reveals a troubling pattern inherent to these biases: shifting allegations, conflicting testimonies, contradictions, inconsistencies, half-truths, lies, perjury, conspiracies, hidden agendas, credibility concerns, ineffective counsel, and illegal tactics. These patterns resulted in Raymond's conviction for sexual assault, sentencing him to life in prison. Yet, Raymond's journey continues as he perseveres in proving his innocence and reclaiming his freedom. My goal is twofold: 1) to pursue justice for Raymond and unveil the truth surrounding his case by presenting compelling evidence, and 2) to raise awareness about the profound injustice Raymond has endured. Raymond's case is not an isolated incident, as it sheds light on the issue of false accusations, particularly within romantic relationships.
