The Seeking Integrity Healing Attachment Wounds Workbook was created for use in conjunction with our six-week Healing Attachment Wounds online workgroup (found at: seekingintegrity.com/workgroups-and-lecture-series/). Each week of the online workgroup has a corresponding week in this workbook, with exercises designed to help you apply the information and conversation that occurs in online classes to your own life and recovery. That is this book’s best and highest use. It is our hope that this book will not be utilized as a standalone resource. Again, it is intended to be used in conjunction with Seeking Integrity’s Healing Attachment Wounds online workgroup. That said, your therapist or a knowledgeable sponsor might choose to lead you through this material. That is perfectly acceptable. The one thing we don’t recommend is simply purchasing this book and trying to get well on your own, without external input. In our experience, people with significant attachment wounds have little hope of healing until they reach out for assistance from knowledgeable others.
