The Smiths of Elouera 1922-1923: The Story Continues

John Cooper is an 88 year old widower, living in a retirement village on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Following his wife Vicky’s death in 2022 John wrote and published two books of poetry, “Words on Paper” and “More Words on Paper”. In his second book of poems (More Words on Paper) he introduced a character called Walter who with his wife and seven children live on a farm in the 1920s. Two of John’s granddaughters told him that Walter needed a book of his own, and so “Walter and Family” was written, a novel in rhyme which describes the happenings revolving around the Smith family. “The Smiths of Elouera 1921-1922” was his first novel, an adaption of the book of poems into a novel. In this book, “The Smiths of Elouera 1922-1923 The Story Continues” we follow the lives of the Smith family. The events, situations and personalities are based on some of John’s personal experiences, but mostly from his imagination.
