In Capernaum Jesus gives his great sermon “Eat my flesh and drink my blood and gain eternal life.” This results in all except the apostles and his immediate family leaving him. When news arrives of the death of the Baptist he realizes his life is in danger and he leaves Galilee for Gentile Tyre and Sidon.
