Kapadia is a parent and lifelong lover of language and reading. She wrote The Very Silly ABCs while her daughter was learning phonics in kindergarten, hoping to make those early reading moments joyful, silly, and full of love. Created as a lasting gift her daughter could one day look back on with a smile, the book was developed in close collaboration with the talented illustrator to bring each playful scene to life just as she imagined. At the heart of it all is Buggie the ladybug, a symbol of wonder, luck, and the deep bond between parent and child. Neg grew up in Canada and has lived in the United States, Germany, and Iran. She now calls Abu Dhabi home, where she lives with her husband, daughter, and their cat Bruno. Artist Geraint Hacking is a freelance illustrator and children's book artist, born and raised in Wales, UK. He currently lives in Abu Dhabi, UAE with his wife and two boys. He graduated from Manchester School of Art in 2008 with a Degree in Illustration and Animation and since then has turned his hand to a variety of creative commissions and projects.
