Robert Combs, from Wrigley's Gum TV commercials that featured him flying a hang glider in Hawaii and then New Zealand, tells his first-hand account of 50 years of flying hang gliders and light sport trikes around the world. The book is filled with amazing flying experiences from early pioneer flying years in Montana and Hawaii to exhilarating flights in New Zealand and Australia and then throughout Europe. He was instrumental in building a private airport in Belize. He also created a WaterGlider that operated in Arizona, Florida, North and South Carolina and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The book is also filled with spine tingling tales from him and other pilots who flew off mountains with little more than bravery and a desire to fly like birds. He was born in Whitefish, MT., and dreamt about flying since he was a small boy. He learned about hang gliding on a ski trip to Canada. From there, he bought a hang glider and began learning to fly by trial and error. Basically, he strapped into the glider and ran off a mountain to learn the sport. After that first flight, he knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
