Dave Johnson’s years were full of peaks and valleys, but after he allowed the Lord to take his steering wheel, he could go through life in comfort knowing that God would never leave him nor forsake him. The prologue sets the stage for the coming events in this celebration of modern farm life. Family patriarch Dave Johnson leads a Godly life, but he was not always so reputable. Sixty years earlier he had unknowingly fathered a son. As a young man, Dave repents of his sexual misconduct, but then late in life and to Dave’s great surprise, he meets his adult son—a son who greatly blesses Dave’s family with a tremendous sacrifice. In addition to this unintended complication, one of Dave’s grandson’s alcoholism places a dark cloud over the entire family. Dave is also heavily conflicted by a centuries-old tradition of passing down the family farm from father to son. This is memorable story that touches all hearts.
