"I wrote the poems within this book because I believe so greatly in youngsters; from the youngest to the oldest. The poems are to empower youngsters as they are growing, and for them to know that everybody is unique. I also hope that it encourages parents to play a part in empowering their children starting at home. I want any youngster who reads this to know that you must feel loved and show love, especially to your parents and siblings. It is also for you to be reminded from time to time, in case you become distracted or preoccupied with unknown things that you may be going through. If that is ever the case, you may always choose to talk about it with someone you can trust, like a parent or another elder, but not other youngsters, because that might be a mistake. Telling a youngster about something important, or private, may not be the right thing to do. Not only because they might not be able to help you like an adult would but, they would have to be able to keep your information private. Youngsters are more likely to probe your secret; especially, if they are upset with the person involved. Your best option is to be comfortable talking to your parents.
