We Can Take the Land Revised: A study in Church Planting

I got saved as part of an expanding network of churches. It was built on the concept that the “any bodies” and “nobodies” of the church could be pastors. You don't need degrees and years of training, but some simple guidelines and a sense of a call to pastor. This book attempts to challenge men to see themselves as capable and give them the basics. Thousands have taken that challenge over the last 50 plus years. I've had the privilege of pastoring 5 churches, pioneering three of them, while sending out over twenty men into ministry, while travelling to more than 25 nations and preaching at over a hundred conferences. Maybe my greatest impact was in writing We Can Take the Land. When writing this I had no idea the impact it would have throughout the world and over the years. After over 40 years it’s still making impact in many preacher’s lives and is a great help and inspiration for them. There is a wealth of information and practical principles to be found here. It's been common for me to have someone come up and say it was a copy of We Can Take the Land that inspired them to go into the ministry. I was in Chicago when a pastor told me he got a copy while in Spain with his missionary parents. He would use the ideas to build a church of thousands in Chicago and send out over twenty-five churches. I've met pastors in the Philippines, Africa, and Russia that have built thriving ministries on the principles found in this book. I hope it inspires you also.
