What I Did On My Summer Vacation: (The Mystery at the Old McMillan House)

The old McMillan house in Centerville has always held a fascination for Brynlee Randall. It has been empty for years. Brynlee just knows this old house has to hold a mystery. The summer has started out with four problems for Brynlee. She and her friend, Linley, actually stumble upon a real mystery when Nick Greenfield comes to town to sell the old house. Brynlee is worried about her first English assignment for when she returns to school in the fall. She also wants to be editor of her school paper but must come up with an exceptional story to win that honor and on top of all that, the Randall’s dog, Ozzie, is in big trouble and they may have to give him to another family. The summer has just begun and Brynlee already has lots of problems to solve. But this year the girls will end up with a whopper of a paper to write about their summer vacation and a story for Brynlee to submit in the editor’s contest. The “Ozzie problem” is solved in the most unusual way and the most exciting conclusion to the mystery at the house ties everything all together.
