Description
Twelve years ago, I made a choice. I had reached a place where I would either die, or live for God if he was in fact there. My plea was accepted and from then on I embarked upon a journey of discovery that is still revitalizing my soul to this day. In the intervening years I came to conclusions while reading the scriptures that I began to implement for the sake of the God that I was...no am following. The first was the seventh day Sabbath. Then came the laws of clean and unclean found in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14. Finally I came to see and understand value in the Feasts of God found in Leviticus 23, as well as the practice of wearing fringes, or Tzit-tzits. Along the way as I began to grow to love and value the Law or Torah of God, there were conflicts and challenges by well meaning people who seemed to take special affront to the way I practiced and spoke about my faith and practice. Looking back, there was nothing more helpful or beneficial for my growth and faith than to have those things I felt to be plain challenged, and I learned it was needful to study and trace issues to their source more deeply than I would have otherwise. One could say that it is them to whom I owe this book. However, I give that honor to the God who artfully placed them all in my path.
As a builder by trade, I tried to structure this book in such a way that each section prepares us for the next and each subsequent idea finds its structure and volume in the former layers. I cover a lot of ground within the pages of this relatively short book. I speak about who Yeshua (Jesus) is, the New Covenant, Acts 15, the Biblical Israel, Ephraim, the Church, and the Mishkan, or tabernacle commanded of Moses to build in the wilderness and how it is meaningful to our faith today. Finally, appended on the end of the book are a series of essays I have written as my studies and inspiration struck me that I hope you will find valuable.
