This book features the contributions of Rev. Ned Taylor Sr. from Pike County Mississippi. An oral history provided by Mr. James Taylor, the youngest son of Rev. Ned Taylor Sr., and research conducted by Dr. Pamela Scott provided the information in this book. This Baptist Preacher and Pastor of four churches was involved in the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950's-1960's. He bravely stood up and supported the right to vote for every American citizen, especially the blacks in McComb, Mississippi and the greater Pike County area. This book displays the culture of Rev. Ned Taylor Sr. as rural farmer, father, husband, Pastor, and Civil Rights supporter. Ms. Ola Mae also contributed some oral history as a younger daughter of Rev. Ned Taylor Sr. The book also presents other McComb, M.S. Freedom Fighters who fought for the Right to vote. They experienced struggles and had near death experiences to take a stand to promote full American citizenship for each of us.
