Will I Have Wings?: A Father's Walk Through Loss, Grief, Illness and Faith

Will I Have Wings? is my testimony, my thoughts and my conclusions on and with God throughout the tragic loss of my son, enduring incurable disease, deep depression and unremitting grief and the relationship with God that rescued me. I am no author nor do I wish to be an author. I am one who must have answers. Life’s problems don’t escape me without analysis reaching a personal conclusion. I have been on a journey of profound loss and grief. My life the past fifteen years posed many problems. I needed to know just why I encountered them and where and what the answers were. At great cost, the greatest cost, I feel ready to share these problems and answers with those who might pick up this work. If you have followed behind me, or have struggled ahead of me, I truly hope my words may illuminate God’s will for your life. As I said, I’m no author nor am I presently compelled to write more than these pages. I believe it is God’s will for my life that I must offer this work. It’s the thing that I’m called to do that I have avoided. From a tragic accident that took the life of his son, through treatment for Wegener's granulomatosis (GPA), chronic kidney disease and other illness, trace the steps of the author as he turns to God for the answers he desperately needed……and how God responded in his life. Through study and prayer, understanding was found, and therein peace.
