Most people are afraid of Revelation. The seals. The trumpets. The bowls of wrath. The beast, the mark, the lake of fire. For many Christians, Revelation is the one book of the Bible they have always meant to study — and never quite started. But God had a different idea when He gave it. In verse 3, He attaches a blessing directly to this book — the only such promise tied to a single book of Scripture: blessed are those who read, who hear, and who heed the words of this prophecy. Blessed. Which means happy. God promised that something good would happen to people who went through Revelation and let its words do what they were designed to do. Worthy Is the Lamb is a guide for that journey. From August 2022 to April 2023, Pastor Micah Heist led his congregation at Calvary Chapel Wenatchee through all twenty-two chapters of Revelation — thirty-five sermons over eight months. This book is the written record of that study. Each chapter corresponds to one sermon from the series, capturing not just the biblical content but the pastoral heart behind each message: the honest questions, the real-world connections, the moments where Scripture speaks directly into ordinary life. What You Will Find Inside The book walks through Revelation in sequence, starting where John started — with an encounter with the glorified Christ so overwhelming it knocked him to the ground — and ending where the whole Bible ends: Come, Lord Jesus. Along the way, you will walk through the letters to the seven churches, where Jesus speaks with remarkable personal knowledge to congregations wrestling with lost love, persecution, compromise, and lukewarmness — and where you will almost certainly recognize your own church, and yourself. You will stand in the throne room of heaven in chapters 4 and 5, where only One is found worthy to open the sealed scroll, and where every creature in creation falls in worship before the Lamb who was slain. You will move through the seals and trumpets and bowls — not as an abstract prophetic timeline, but as the story of a God who is patient beyond comprehension, just beyond evasion, and who presses mercy into the darkest hours of history right up until the very end. And you will arrive at the new heaven and the new earth — a city of breathtaking beauty, a river clear as crystal, the tree of life in full fruit, and the face of God finally visible without shadow. No more death. No more mourning. No more night. Behold, I am making all things new. The Thread That Runs Through Everything Revelation is, from its first verse to its last, about Jesus. It opens with John seeing the glorified Christ for the first time since the ascension. It closes with the prayer Come, Lord Jesus — the response of a man who has now seen everything and whose only response is to want more of the One who showed it to him. History is not drifting. It is moving toward Him. Worthy Is the Lamb includes five discussion questions at the end of every chapter, making it ideal for small groups, Bible studies, or personal devotional reading.
