According to the World Health Organization, suicide is the second leading cause of death among young people aged 15 to 29. One reason they may choose to take their own lives is depression. That is why we must ensure that God does not become a myth to our children and young people, as it often happens with the existence of Santa Claus. 1 Timothy 4:12, “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example…” In the heart of Scripture, we find words that inspire, correct, and guide our lives. In actuality, Christian youth face unique challenges. Distractions and temptations surround youth. An important question faces us: do we live for ourselves or for the Lord? Youth is a time of discovery and crucial decisions that influence the rest of your life. Life is full of challenges, but Christian youth are not alone in their struggles. If you’re a leader or simply a young person with a desire to serve God, start today. God is not waiting for you to be perfect; He only wants you to be willing. When a young person chooses to obey God, the world is not the same. Young people are the vital force of the church, called to not only believe but to live passionately in faith. However, they also face unique challenges: social pressures, difficult decisions, insecurities, and the search for identity and purpose.
