AN ABBEY RETURNED - 3663

The Abbey of Saint Alexander of Jerusalem was constructed in Indianapolis in 1914 by an order of Trappist Monks in Germany. For reasons unknown, the Monks abandoned it and the State took possession, turning it into a maximum security hospital for the criminally insane. After years of reported and documented patient abuse, there is strong sentiment for closing the institution. The State, in a last ditch effort to keep the hospital intact, has hired Dr. Guillermo Gerona, a nationally known expert as Superintendent to reform the hospital and develop effective treatment programs. If the Superintendent is unable to accomplish this in short order, the hospital will be closed. Sensing nefarious activity, Gerona reaches out to Mitch Gainer, his former student and prodigy who is in the area because his wife, a famous cellist is completing an artist in rsidence at a local university. Gainer agrees to join him in his endeavor. Will they be successful in their efforts?
