The purpose of this book is to help you understand God's intent and desire is that Christ makes you "whole," which includes what the Bible refers to as having a "sound mind," or, in the words of the world, being "emotionally healthy. One of the great commands shared by Christ in Matthew 22:37 is to "Love the Lord your God with all of your mind" This begs the question: how do we love the Lord with all of our minds? In short, we must think the thoughts the Lord thinks about each of us. That begs another question: What kind of thoughts does God have about us? Jeremiah 29:11 makes it clear: God has "Thoughts of peace and not of evil, to bring us to an expected end." But to fully know what the Lord thinks about us, we must devote ourselves daily to knowing Him through His word. My goal in this book is to share everything I've learned about mental/emotional wellness through the lens of the word of God. This includes Biblical stories and principles that will give you insights on how to cope with and remedy emotional challenges with prayer, intentional words of affirmation (what God says about them via the scriptures), practical truths and exercises, and a lot of other truth-revealing content that I pray helps erase the stigma around emotional/mental illness.
