The author is hoping that the reader will not only find a great poem and favorite plant but inspiration. Inspiration to keep going in life, to not give up on yourself, to weather the storm, to conquer fear, jump over some deep puddles, remain hopeful and bloom, just as you are supposed to, in due season. After losing a childhood best friend to suicide, and experiencing other traumatic losses, she wants you to understand that you are never beyond hope, things will eventually get better. Renew your mind daily and know that you are never truly alone. There are so many other people out here experiencing similar trials and tribulations. No matter your background, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, there are people in this world who can relate. Never be ashamed to speak up and say you are not okay; things are not great. Understand there is a season where you will get through everything that was meant to destroy you, some things were only meant to grow you. “You were only a seed, but your growth will be exponential! Your roots, strong! Your beauty, radiant! Your flowers, colorful! Your stems and leaves, as green as they could ever be. There are people that will be in awe of this new plant, and within every root, every stem, every leaf and every intricate petal, there’s a story waiting to be told.” Let us not grow weary in well doing, in due season we shall reap, if we do not give up – Galatians 6:9
