Born A Third Culture Kid - 1658

David Whitten was born in Argentina in 1951, of American missionary parents. He spent 15 of his first 18 years in Spanish-speaking countries. As a Third Culture Kid, he wrestled with questions of identification with Spanish and American culture and nationality. This is a story of growing up bi-culturally in the 1950s and 1960s, of being his states-side biological family and adopting other missionaries and their families and his Spanish Baptist family as his families. In the end he discovered more gain than loss in his unique upbringing.
