I never thought that I would become part of a statistic where I suffered from physical, mental, verbal, and sexual abuse. As I look back on the things that were meant to tear me down, I realize that God was always there to bring me out. I was put in the position to go thru my situation so that I can help others get out, as well as help those on the outside looking in, identify the ways to better help someone going through domestic violence. After 13 years of being abused, I finally had the courage to leave. Taking back my power, my joy, my life and finding peace that surpasses all understanding.
