Dinkys: Cedar Haiku - 8248

Haiku is an ancient form of poetry that is written in delicate elegance grounded in the Buddistic principles of simplicity, nature, and specificity. It can be wistful, literal, and transient but not big. Poems are usually structured in phrases of three to five lines, leaving a subject incomplete so that the reader has the feeling there is more to the image than the poem creates. Thus, it inspires imagination. I have been loose in the structure of some of my lines in the hope that breaking some of the rules, a definite part of my nature, creates a sense of playfulness. I hope you will enjoy Dinky's and perhaps be inspired to write some of your own.
