I value privacy and believe that individuals in relationships heading towards marriage should keep some things to themselves. It's important to avoid keeping secrets from each other as it damages the bond between partners. Personal matters should be kept in control. It's okay to have secrets from outsiders, as long as they are not secrets between the two of you. I support a healthy, open relationship where partners are not afraid to display their affection in public and show their love to the world. You can still maintain privacy by choosing what, when, and how to share your passion with others. It's important to understand the difference between "private" and "secret" as these words have distinct meanings depending on the situation. The term "private" refers to something that is not meant to be shared or made public. For instance, when two or more individuals have a private conversation, it should remain confidential between them and not disclosed to others. On the other hand, the term "secret" implies a deliberate concealment or non-disclosure of information, actions, or objects. While "private" is used to describe confidential matters, "secret" suggests a conscious effort to hide something. In a couple's relationship, having a secret or personal relationship might be acceptable if both parties agree to it for a reasonable amount of time. This allows the relationship to develop and mature without external interference. However, if there's no agreement, and the relationship is kept a secret for the wrong reasons, problems can arise. Individuals in secretive relationships maintain an outward appearance of being single while secretly maintaining an emotional or sexual connection with each other. It is unclear if either party is seeing anyone else because communication about the relationship is rare. Based on my experiences I’ve learned that secrets cause more harm than good. When I found myself in a secret relationship, I questioned the love, longevity, authenticity and strength of the connection. Inward conflicts arose from within that made me feel uneasy, fearful, and insecure.I doubt the authenticity of the relationship as well as my ability to be genuinely happy with the individual that demanded secrecy. The truth about being kept a secret is often due to deceit, embarrassment, and shame, all of which I experienced. When I said these words; “I will no longer be your secret!” my life began to change for the better.
