                  Modern Enemies Threaten Israel’s Peace
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May they prosper who love you.’” Psalm 122:6
But How Do We Know What To Pray For?
Three thousand years ago, King David, instructed all true worshipers to pray for the peace and security of Israel. Jerusalem in Hebrew means “inheritance of peace,” but for most of its history has been at the center of conflict. To pray more effectively for Jerusalem’s peace we must know her new enemies, yet few outside Israel understand the internal workings of this new state.
What Sets This Book Apart?
The author’s life experience sets him apart from many who write about Israel. He writes as someone who is a native-born Israeli. He was born and grew up in Tel Aviv, Israel, a thriving, modern, and beautiful city on the shores of the Mediterranean. Growing up in Israel was an exciting adventure and laid an enduring foundation for him loving this land and its people. It also gave him the privilege of serving in the Israeli military, the I.D.F, in a combat unit for three years. So he understands the security issues Israel faces first hand.
Facts Every Concerned Person Needs to Know
Would you like to know more about the complex social structure of Israeli society, or the Israeli political structure which allows its enemies to have a governing voice? Do you know the inspiring yet montaged modern history of Israel before and since its establishment in 1948? Are you aware that Israel was on the brink of a civil war in its early years which was only prevented by one noble Israeli leader? Are you aware of Israel’s internal enemies who pose an authentic threat to her very existence?
Israel’s Enemies Within answers these questions and will help you to view her unique challenges through new eyes. These pages will reveal: How to pray more deeply for Israel A sharper image of Israeli politics, society, and attitudes The differences and effects between various streams of Zionism How to research even more about Israel’s modern history A fact-based understanding of the Israel’s current situation
The Primary Purpose
The main objective of this book is to help true worshipers to be able to follow the plea of the Psalmist to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” by revealing the complex challenges Israel faces today.
About The Author
Shaul Katzav was born and raised in the land of Israel. Twenty-five years ago, he came to faith in his Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus). During his biblical studies and ministry in the USA, he was led to write Israel’s Enemies Within after being asked a very simple question by a fellow believer: “How can I pray for Israel?” Shaul currently lives in Texas. He is happily married and a father of three children. His sincere hope is for concerned believers to pray more effectively for Israel’s survival and future redemption.
