He was born in London, England. At an early age, the family returned to Jamaica and resided in Westmoreland. Linley was an energetic boy who enjoyed the rustic outdoor living.
The family’s roots were deeply entrenched in Grange Hill, a sugarcane town where their maternal grandparents resided. Linley and his siblings enjoyed rural life among ordinary country folk, all trying to make a living.
Linley attended Munro College, a premier boy’s school in the cool hills of St Elizabeth, Jamaica, where he boarded. What an experience that was indeed a “city on a hill cannot be hid”. It was transformational, along with forming lifelong friendships.
Linley worked with the Bank of Nova Scotia Jamaica Limited for over thirty-seven years and rose to the level of Assistant General Manager. He studied Banking and is qualified to the level of MBA - Banking and Finance. And is currently a Consultant in Banking and Finance. He has been happily married to Diana for over thirty years with three adult children Eleanor, Esther and Emily.
He has committed himself to service within his community and at a national level. He’s also an elder within his local church and over the years has enjoyed interacting and helping people from all walks of life. He loves to teach others by storytelling always with a focus on their wellbeing.
