Non Compass Mentis - 5221

I asked an old Thai girlfriend about her travels, if she’d ever been anywhere. She enthusiastically responded with; “Oh, I been manywhere”. To date it was the most fabulous and descriptive word that doesn’t exist but should that I’ve ever heard. I too have been manywhere, be it foreign travels far from shore, or riding around all day in an ambulance in a city full of immigrants. Every hour is another stamp in your passport, each tenement, mansion, alley, rail yard, shelter is a visit to a culture, a time and a place you’d most likely not to be welcomed to on a day off in civilian clothes. It was a privilege not afforded to many for which I am eternally grateful.
