When I began writing this book, the primary audience were students, specifically primary and secondary students, whether in a school setting or outside of a school setting as a group or independently. I envisioned teachers using the quotations as writing or discussion prompts for students to inquire about, respond to and broaden their scope—emotionally mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually—and the responses could be shared with others or kept to oneself. However, as I further developed the book, I realized that anyone could benefit from the topics addressed throughout the collection and use the quotations as inspiration for discussion as well as reflection and/or action. If you are (a part of a) family, book club, “small group,” friends, colleagues, community, educator, parent/guardian/caregiver, religious order, leader, student, activist, social change agent, or are already doing your best or aspiring to do more in life, this book is a great means through which to encourage, foster, and be/become the change for others as well as yourself. These “quotables” can be used on a daily, weekly, or on any time basis and can be used in numerical or some other “logical” order.
