One Who Served: A Memorial Tribute to Your Veteran is a memorial tribute and keepsake book specifically created by veterans for the families of veterans. It explains not so much what members of the Armed Forces do, but more importantly, why they do it.
This distinctive, hard-bound volume is a gift presented at the time of bereavement that will become a lasting and treasured memorial.
Designed to celebrate military service, recognize the family, define the grieving process and provide resources for the family.
Thoughtfully written, with over 100 pages of rich, full-color illustrations and photographs. The reader will be guided through five distinct sections each with a specific theme:
To Pay Tribute:The memorialization of a loved one when they die is an important part of the grieving and recovery process. This section provides areas to record important information such as names, type of service, awards, medals, ribbons and photographs. It will provide warm and wonderful memories now and into the future.
To Remember: What does it mean to serve? This section answers that question and defines the virtues found in those who step forward when our nation calls. There is a brief history of the different branches and a special section devoted to Arlington. Complete with original illustrations commissioned just for this work.
To Grieve: The price of loving someone is indeed grief, when that person passes away. This section helps the family define the stages of grief, how we lost our loved one and the way that loss impacts different family members. Special attention is provided to the military family.
To Carry On: We have but two options when faced with a devastating loss. To allow it to consume us, or, to carry on. This section provides readings and meditations to help soothe the pain of grief felt by those left behind.
To Reach Out: After the initial flurry of activity surrounding a loss of a loved one, there comes the inevitable moment when the children and surviving spouse find themselves alone with their grief. This section of One Who Served is written to help the military family find resources on bereavement and provides information regarding assistance from organizations and government agencies.
Dark blue hardbound volume, sewn binding, embossed cover, full-color illustrations, and silver-edged pages.
A lasting memorial for your beloved veterans.
