In this Part, as our narrator of pandemic-related affairs continues to tirelessly chronicle the historic times lived in, despite the great efforts of man the escape artist endures, relentlessly infecting and reinfecting in what inevitably comes to be accepted as its endemic phase; the mother-daughter pair, desperate for a shower, comes out of hiding; northern protests against pandemic management terminate abruptly; the alien contingent further bolsters itself in its aim for mastery over Homo sapiens; and many nations begin to treat the pandemic as over. As planet Earth’s intelligent species forever lingers on with its intra and inter-human dramas, wars, conflicts, suspicions, jealousies, greed, and the like, beneath the surface of things another far more dangerous pandemic to man is in play. The species, on the cusp of a takeover of minds and planetary power, with everything thought to be “human” at risk, hasn’t an inkling of the plot, a crucial theme entrenched: no one knows everything.
