River Kingdom: A Legend - 8760

At the fire damaged Fitzpatrick hacienda in 1800's New Mexico, Jack grows up with the understanding that Papa is focused on finding his wife, Jack's mother Lucia, who was kidnapped in an Apache raid years ago. As Jack develops from his early teens into a young man his relationship with his father, Lawrence, becomes brittle. Jack's mistakes anger Lawrence, and Jack sees his father as disappointingly less dedicated to the search for Mama Lucia. Love enters Jack's life in the person of an enchanting young woman from a hacienda near the Rio Grande, Angelina. His happiness in his new found love is dimmed by the news that Papa has decided to entirely discontinue his search for Lucia. Lawrence does not disclose reasons for this decision, and Jack is distraught. He feels an urgency to find Mama, but if he takes up the search what will become of his hopes for marriage with Angelina? Unforeseen events cause Jack's decision to become more urgent, and propel Jack toward an ancient world where legendary powers compete to dominate the treasures of a lost kingdom.Throughout the story, Lucia's heartfelt prayers, and Angelina's letters, are paralleld by Jack's journey. Ultimately, Jack finds connection with family, with the past, and with the divine.
