Rose loved visiting small rural towns as a child when her parents took her on road trips across Minnesota. Though she lived in a city growing up, she couldn’t shake the fantasy of moving to a similar town like those she had vacationed at and opening her own little Inn. At the young age of twenty-one her new husband wants to help make her dream come true and the couple makes plans to do just that. As luck may have it, Flynn, a US Army soldier, receives the call they both have dreaded. He is being deployed to Afghanistan for twelve months. Left behind and distraught, paralyzed with worry, Rose feels she can take no more. After headlines of war continue to cover the screen of her television one night, she grabs her car keys convinced a long drive out of the city may help clear her mind. Where the drive takes her is to an unexpected, quaint, very special town. There she meets newfound friends, realized dreams and a simpler life she yearns to have for her and Flynn.
