You may ask how could I leave Christianity after 34 years of commitment and now be in such disagreement with the Bible? It all began with a contradiction about the LORD causing David to number Israel (2 Sam 24:1) and another scripture, speaking of the same incident, but stating Satan caused David to number Israel! (1Chron 21:1) As I further studied this unbelievable error, I found 4 more obvious contradictions in the same two chapters! How could this be? Theologians just seemed to chalk off these CONTRADICTIONS as "Copyist errors", as if these were no big deal! Deeper study uncovered and exposed an abundance of these so called "copyist errors", a nice term for CONTRADICTIONS and just plain ERRORS! So much for the Bible's claims to be: supernatural, alive, protected, preserved, inspired and especially: perfect, pure and true. These findings shook my deep-seated faith for the first time …ever!I had spent 34 years reading, studying, teaching, proclaiming, writing and even illustrating "God's Word"! I was a radical, fanatical Christian, evangelizing everybody, every way I could: The printed page, the internet, by video, by witnessing to more than a thousand people personally one on one, and by the distribution of 10 million dollars of Christian product through my 6 Christian bookstores. Telling people about salvation through Christ, was my way of life for more than 3 decades.I never stopped studying the Bible, but for the last 9 years, I have been researching, studying and writing about the Bible …just from a different perspective. I took off my doctrinal theological glasses and challenged the commentaries that told me WHAT to believe, and began to read the Bible, as if for the first time with no blinders and preconceived ideas. IRONICALLY I'M DEFENDING THE SCRIPTURES AS THEY ARE STATED, FROM THE "SPIN" OF COMMENTARIES. Now if you will give me literally 2 minutes of your time, I assure you that you will be appalled, shocked and discussed as I am, by the following examples of things I have found in the Bible and have written about in, "The Bible says…Whaaat?"Not only did I find an absorbent amount of contradictions but the Bible reports barbaric act of cannibalism, so horrid that parents had to eat their own children! Even more outrageous, was to find that this punishment …was from God! This is confirmed at least 5 times in scripture and by 4 different authors of the Bible. God decided to kill Ezekiel's wife for no apparent reason, then tells him not to cry. He also tells Ezekiel to eat bread made with human feces and instructs Isaiah to prophecy naked for over a year. God commands pregnant women to be ripped open and the infants to be dashed to pieces! He also sent vicious animals to kill Israel's children and buried others alive! He caused plagues where peoples intestines literally fell out.God sends out evil spirits several times, while Satan is recorded sending none! God, kills the righteous and wicked alike, (I have scripture), women, children, infants and even animals, while Satan is only credited with killing maybe less than a dozen people in the scriptures. One hundred and fifty times God's: wrath, fury, indignation, anger and fierce anger are mentioned in the scriptures. Slavery, is even approved by God in "His word"! And just in case you were not aware, God has wings, complete with feathers and He breaths fire too, just to name a few of the 100 bizarre things I reveal with the use of over a thousand scriptures in "The Bible Says …Whaaat?" There's also no shortage of, bizarre contradictory, and even cruel things that should shock even the more mature Christian! These things that I reveal in my book, are very clearly seen and understood. I know you will agree with me on 95% of my interpretations. Why, because I don't interpret! It takes some real twisting to make the Bible seem to say something it doesn't, and commentators have been twisting scripture for decades.
